The proposed Canada-WU trade deal (CETA) could seriously harm Canadian public services and environmental protections. The MFL and many unions are actively working to stop it.
Now, Steven Shrybman, a well known international trade and public interest lawyer, is telling Huffington Post Canada: “The provinces are selling us out and they are not doing their homework.”
He notes that while some provinces like Manitoba have sought exemptions and protections for many key public services and sectors, most have not.
